James (Steve) Childress

As COO of ETS, Steve Childress is currently leading the growth and expansion efforts for ETS Operations, a team comprised of the sales, marketing and systems operations groups. He is responsible for overseeing the management and expansion of current ETS Systems, the sales and development of new cities, and the promotion of ETS’ Community Coalitions. In his role as Vice President, Human Systems for Spectrum Management, Steve oversees all of the classic human resources functions to include benefits administration, compensation design, staffing logistics, legal compliance and training. Previously he has served as an executive with national and international financial services firms, a real estate development firm, and HR outsourcing firms. Prior to that, Steve spent several years working on a variety of political campaigns and worked for a U.S. President. He was a co-founder of the workers’ compensation Certification and Best Practices Institute for the National Association of Professional Employers, and served on the boards of a National and State Industry Association. In addition, he has served on the Board of the Carrollton Farmers Branch Girls Softball League, Heartlight Ministries, and Serving Him Ministries, as well as on three Boards of the First United Methodist Church, Carrollton. Steve is currently a member of the Law Enforcement Liaison Committee of the North Texas Crime Commission. A native Texan, he received a BBA degree in Management and Industrial/Organizational Management from the University of Texas.
